Building a reclaimed brick patio is a significant endeavor, but it is entirely worth it you live in an older home and your goal is to create a patio that looks like it is part of the original design.
Our install process involved a base layer of several inches of gravel, rebar, a concrete pad and then the brick was installed on top of th pad. The brick was then cleaned and protected with PROSOCO products 600 New Masonry Cleaner and Siloxane PD Water Repellent. I've linked the products because many homeowners are not aware of how important proper masonry cleaning and the application of water repellent are for the look and life of the installed patio.
